Nimeh
Nimeh is living a terrible life due to the physical and psychological abuse she suffers from her husband and his family. She is 26 and lives in Hortas village near Bethlehem. Her husband is illiterate and has no marketable skills.

Nimeh was referred to the hospital by the Daughters of Charity convent, where she had sought refuge. She was nine months pregnant, and there was fear she would need a caesarean section due to the continuous physical abuse she endured. Nimeh gave birth to a baby boy, and her husband’s family covered her expenses. The hospital social worker followed up to make Nimeh and her baby were discharged in good health.

Sadly, Nimeh returned to the hospital five months later in need of an operation on her uterus. Due to the seriousness of her condition, the hospital decided to cover part of her fees. Her husband promised to pay the rests of the costs, but he has not fulfilled his promise.
